What should I do if my ASB Visa Debit or Credit Card is lost, stolen or compromised while I’m overseas?
Last Updated: 05 Dec 2024
If you're overseas and your ASB Visa Debit or Credit Card is lost, stolen, or compromised, you can request for an emergency card replacement and/or emergency cash to ensure you have access to funds.
How to request an Emergency Card
- Contact Visa via chat or phone 24 hours, 7 days a week.
- Visit the Visa Emergency Assistance page to find the chat option or the phone number specific for the country you are in.
- Visa will deactivate your lost or stolen credit or debit card and forward your emergency card request to ASB
- ASB will verify and process the request.
- Once approved, Visa will arrange for an emergency card to be delivered to your location as soon as possible.
How to request Emergency Cash
If you need cash urgently, you can also request emergency cash
- Contact Visa via chat or phone.
- Use the Visa Emergency Assistance page to find the chat option or the phone number for the country you are calling from.
- Ensure you have enough credit available, or available funds in your bank account to cover the requested amount.
- Visa will coordinate with you to arrange the delivery of your emergency cash to your location as soon as possible.
Note: Emergency Cash from a credit card is considered a cash advance, and the cash advance interest rate for your specific card type will apply. Find out more information on cash advances.
