How do I activate my new ASB Visa credit card or debit card?

To activate your credit card you need to create a PIN.
You can create a PIN for your card and activate it from within our ASB Mobile Banking app or FastNet Classic internet banking. (You must be registered for Netcode).
To activate your card through your ASB Mobile app:
- Log into your ASB Mobile app.
- Open the ‘More’ menu in the bottom bar.
- Select ‘Cards & devices’.
- If you have more than one card, select the card you wish to activate, then click 'Update card PIN'.
- Enter the 3-digit CVV number on the back of your physical card.
- Enter your chosen PIN on the keypad.
- Confirm your chosen PIN on the keypad.
To activate your card in FastNet Classic:
- Log in to your FastNet Classic account.
- Click on 'Settings' in the top right of the page.
- Click on ‘Card PIN’.
- Select the card you wish to change the PIN for.
- Enter the 3-digit security code number (CVV) on the back of your physical card.
- Enter chosen PIN and confirm by re-entering.
Your card is activated and is ready to use.
Alternatively you can call us on 0800 803 804 or go into any ASB branch to create a PIN.
