Can I set up an Automatic Payment via FastNet Classic internet banking or the ASB Mobile Banking app to pay my bills or credit card?

You can set up an automatic payment in the ASB Mobile Banking app or FastNet Classic for regular payments to new or saved payees. Registered payees are available for one-off payments only, not automatic payments.
Before you start
Have the payee’s name and account number ready. You can set up an automatic payment to any New Zealand bank account.
Set up an automatic payment in ASB Mobile
Automatic payments can only be set up for new or saved payees. Registered payees are available for one-off payments only.
- Log in
- Select Payments
- Select Make a payment
- Choose the account to pay from
- Select Choose who to pay
- Add or choose the payee:
- To Pay someone new, enter the payee details, select Check payee details and review the Confirmation of Payee result
- For Saved payees, select the payee
- Enter the amount
- Choose the frequency
- Add reference details, if needed
- Review the payment
- Select Pay
Set up an automatic payment in FastNet Classic
- Log in
- Select Make a payment
- Select Automatic payment
- Choose the account to pay from
- Select New Automatic Payment
- Enter the payee details
- Select Check payee details
- Review the Confirmation of Payee result
- Enter the amount
- Choose the frequency
- Add reference details, if needed
- Select Save
- Check the payment details
- Select Yes
After you confirm the automatic payment, it will be scheduled using the details you entered.
If you’re paying an ASB Visa credit card
Automatic payments to ASB Visa credit cards can take up to two working days to appear.
