What is Netcode at sign on?

Last Updated: 11 Jul 2017

Netcode at sign on is an extra layer of security and a simple and effective way to make sure that only you can Log In to FastNet Classic internet banking on your account.

To choose Netcode at sign on:

  1. Log in to FastNet Classic.
  2. Select your Profile in the top right hand corner.
  3. Select Netcode at sign on and select Yes and Submit.

If you choose to use Netcode at sign on, you'll still use your Username and Password as normal to Log In to FastNet Classic. To complete the sign on process, you’ll also need to enter the Netcode from your token or TXT message.

Once logged in, you'll still need a Netcode for your One –Off payments and Bill Payments to payees who you have not registered as authenticated or trusted.

Netcode at sign on does not apply to ASB Mobile or the mobile version of FastNet Classic.

Netcode SMS is available on New Zealand and international mobile phone numbers. Just call us on 0800 FASTNET (0800 327 863) or +64 9 306 3185 to register.

Please note: Netcode via SMS is free to use if you have a New Zealand mobile phone number, but please check with your provider in case there are charges to receive international text messages. Since we rely on international phone providers to send our Netcode SMS to international phone numbers, we cannot guarantee you’ll be able to receive Netcode SMS to your international phone number.
