How do I register for two-step verification using the ASB Mobile Banking app?

Last Updated: 22 Jun 2021

You will be able to complete two-step verification using the ASB Mobile Banking app for logging into and making one-off payments in FastNet Classic if you meet the eligibility criteria.

To verify that you are eligible:

To check if your app is Netcode verified, follow these steps below:

  1. Log in to the ASB Mobile Banking app.
  2. Select ‘More’ in the bottom right-hand corner.
  3. Select ‘Settings’.
  4. Select ‘Security’.

If your app is Netcode verified, it will show ‘ON’ next to ‘Netcode verified’.

If your app is not Netcode verified, it will show ‘OFF’. Tap on this to begin the Netcode verification process.

You should ensure that push notifications are enabled in your device settings. To check if your device has push notifications enabled, follow these steps below:

For iOS:

  1. Open the ‘Settings’ app.
  2. Scroll to ‘ASB Mobile’.
  3. Select ‘Notifications’.
  4. Ensure ‘Allow notifications’ is enabled.

For Android:

  1. Open the ‘Settings’ app.
  2. Select ‘Notifications’.
  3. Select ‘ASB Mobile’.
  4. Swipe right on the toggle bar to enable notifications.

You may be asked to complete two-step verification when we detect something unusual about your login attempt. If you would like to require two-step verification for all FastNet Classic login attempts, see how to enable Netcode at login.
