How do I use a QR code to set up an ongoing payment consent?
Last Updated: 28 May 2025
To set up an ongoing payment consent, you'll need to use the QR code scanner in the ASB Mobile Banking app.
To find and use the QR code scanner:
- Log in to the ASB Mobile app.
- Tap 'Payments' at the bottom of the screen.
- Select 'Scan QR code to pay'.
- Scan the QR code on your desktop screen and follow the instructions to set up the payment.
The scanner will only work for ASB QR codes and as these codes are encrypted with specific data for the consent you are authorising, you won't be able to use your regular camera, only the ASB Mobile app to scan it.
If you run into any difficulties scanning the QR code, wait for a moment, then try again. If the QR code expires, refresh it and then try again.
