Am I covered if I have a pre-existing medical condition or my health has changed?
No, pre-existing medical conditions, whether diagnosed or not, are not automatically covered under ASB Visa Platinum Travel Insurance.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition, or your health has changed since you last used your ASB Visa Platinum Rewards credit card to access travel insurance, you may not be covered for overseas medical expenses or other costs related to that condition.
You can check the policy information and apply for cover through ASB Travel or by calling Zurich Australian Insurance Limited on 0800 660 141.
What happens next
Zurich Australian Insurance Limited will assess your application and let you know the outcome in writing.
If they agree to cover the condition and you choose to take the cover, you'll need to pay an additional premium.
Policy note
ASB's lending criteria and terms apply. ASB Rewards Programme Terms and conditions apply. Please refer to the ASB Visa Platinum Travel Insurance Policy for full details.
If you are 76 years of age or over, you are not eligible for cover under the base policy but may be able to purchase Mature Age Cover to receive travel insurance benefits. Other exclusions or limitations apply.
