Why is ASB retiring Online Vault?

Last Updated: 20 Aug 2026

We're retiring Online Vault from 1st December 2026. If you’ve stored information in Online Vault, save anything you want to keep before it's removed.

Online Vault is an older FastNet Classic feature used by a small number of customers, and retiring it helps us focus on services customers use more often.

Do I need to do anything?

If you’ve used Online Vault to store information and want to keep it, save it somewhere secure before the 1st of December 2026

To check Online Vault and save information in FastNet Classic:

  1. Log in
  2. Select Menu
  3. Select Documents
  4. Select Online Vault
  5. Copy the information you want to keep
  6. Save it somewhere secure

Where can I save my information instead?

Choose a secure option that suits the type of information you’re saving, such as:

  • A password manager
  • An encrypted app or secure digital storage tool

If available, use security features such as strong passwords, encryption, and multi-factor authentication.

Multi-factor authentication means using more than one way to confirm it is you, such as a password and a code.

What happens next?

We'll contact customers who have information stored in Online Vault before it is retired.

After Online Vault is retired, you won’t be able to access your information through it.

Your accounts, cards, payments, FastNet Classic access, ASB Mobile Banking, and other banking services will continue to work as usual.
