Can ASB apply a hold to my joint account if the other party to the account instructs them?
Last Updated: 30 May 2017
Yes. If there is a dispute between joint account holders one, or all, may notify ASB. Once we've been notified, we may take steps to prevent any account holder from using the account until the dispute has ended.
We may also suspend the operation of your account to protect any third parties who have a reasonable claim of interest in the account.
