What proof of ID do I need to open a new account?
If you are a new customer to ASB, you’ll need to provide proof of your identity and residential address. This is a legal requirement to protect you and ASB.
The information you supply should be current and original. You can often provide proof of ID and address online using the ASB ID app. We can also accept copies certified by a trusted referee if required.
Documentation in a foreign language must be accompanied by an independent and certified English translation provided to you by a professional translator.
For any additional queries, call our Contact Centre on 0800 803 804, vist your nearest ASB branch or contact your ASB Relationship Manager.
