What are the processing times for electronic one-off payments and transfers?
Last Updated: 29 May 2023
Transfers and payments to your own ASB account or someone else’s ASB account are real-time and transferred as clear funds 24 hours / 7 days a week. This means most funds will appear immediately*.
For payments between ASB and other New Zealand banks:
- Payments are sent every hour to other banks between 9:15am and 11:30pm. Between these times, if you use One-Off Payment or FastNet IRD, we send the money within one hour but it’s up to the receiving bank when it’s posted to the recipient’s account.
- Payments are received from other banks between 8:30am and 12:15 am. Money received by ASB will be credited to your account within 1 hour.
* Note, it can take 3-5 working days for the transaction to be visible in your ASB Investment Fund or ASB KiwiSaver Scheme account. Once the transfer is accepted, the unit price that applies, will be the price for the date that the transaction is accepted and processed.
