My photo ID has expired. Can I still use it to confirm my identity with the ASB ID app?

No, the photo ID used with the ASB ID app must be current and valid for the checks with trusted external providers.
Photo ID eligible for this service:
- NZ driver licence
- NZ passport
- Australian passport
The following trusted external providers are used to verify your photo ID:
- New Zealand Transport Agency used to verify NZ driver licences.
- Department of Internal Affairs Confirmation Service used to verify NZ passports.
- Australian Government’s Document Verification Service used to verify Australian passports.
- Green ID Limited, an identification verification service used by ASB to biometrically compare your photos.
