How do I adjust my credit card limit?
Last Updated: 09 Sep 2025
To do this, you’ll need to make an appointment by calling us on 0800 803 804 or +64 9 306 3000 if overseas. We’re available Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, and on weekends or public holidays from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Or by visiting any ASB branch.
There are a few things to consider before applying to adjust your credit card limit.
- Approval is subject to ASB lending criteria.
- If you wish to reduce your current limit, you can reduce it to the minimum limit for your type of credit card. However you are unable to have a limit lower than your balance.
- If you decrease your limit, you may not be able to increase it again.
