What is an ASB KiwiSaver Scheme fund?

Last Updated: 16 Jul 2026

An ASB KiwiSaver Scheme fund is the investment fund your KiwiSaver savings may be invested in.

We have six ASB KiwiSaver Scheme funds. Each fund has a different level of risk and potential return.

  • Some funds are more conservative and aim to reduce ups and downs in your balance. They usually have lower potential returns over time.
  • Other funds focus on higher potential growth. Your balance may go up and down more, but a longer investment timeframe can give you more time to ride out those changes.
  • Some funds aim to provide moderate potential returns, with some ups and downs in your balance.

It's important to choose the fund that's right for you and your circumstances. You can use the KiwiSaver calculator and advice tool in the ASB Mobile Banking app or FastNet Classic. It shows how changes to your fund choice and contributions could affect your first home or retirement savings.
