How can I change my KiwiSaver fund?

Last Updated: 19 Oct 2016

If you’re not sure which fund you want to change to, our investor profiler quiz can help you work out the type of investor you are and suggest a fund that may suit your needs.

If you already know which fund you want to change to, there are two ways you can change your fund:

1. If you have access to FastNet Classic, you’ll see ASB KiwiSaver Scheme on the ‘Balances’ page. Click on the ‘Options’ button next to that to open a drop down menu. (You can also find the ‘Change Fund’ option on your Investment Overview’ page.) Select the third option down ‘Change Fund’.

The next page will show you which fund(s) you are currently invested in and give you the option of:

  • Moving your existing savings and future contributions to one new fund.

  • Moving your existing savings to one fund and future contributions to another fund.

  • Splitting your existing savings and future contributions over more than one fund.

It will also ask you to check your Prescribed Investor tax rate (PIR).

Click on the ‘Continue’ button to check the Change Fund Summary page. Don’t forget to check the box indicating that you accept the terms and conditions to changing the fund you’re invested in, at the bottom of this page.

Click ‘Finish’ to get the Confirmation page. It will take 3-5 days to appear in FastNet Classic and we will send you a letter confirming when this has been done.

2. You can complete our Changing your KiwiSaver fund form and post it back to us at: ASB KiwiSaver Scheme, Freepost Authority ASB, PO Box 35, Shortland Street, Auckland 1140.
