Can I transfer my savings in an existing superannuation scheme into the ASB KiwiSaver Scheme?
Last Updated: 08 Nov 2016
If you have savings in an existing superannuation scheme in New Zealand you will need to check with your existing superannuation scheme provider as to whether you are able to transfer your savings to the ASB KiwiSaver Scheme.
If you have savings in an Australian complying superannuation scheme, regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) but now live in New Zealand permanently, then you can transfer your savings to the ASB KiwiSaver Scheme.
The ASB KiwiSaver Scheme does not currently accept superannuation transfers from countries other than Australia. For example, it does not accept transfers from UK pension schemes, as it is not a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS).
