What can I do if I'm locked out of FastNet Classic internet banking / Online Share Trading?
Last Updated: 09 Jun 2025
You have 5 attempts to enter your correct ASB login password, any more attempts will lock you out. This is a safeguard to prevent any unauthorised access to your account. If you’re locked out, there are a couple of ways you can reset your password.
If you’ve enabled PIN log in and are Netcode registered, you can use the ASB Mobile Banking app (Apple and Android). Or you can use FastNet Classic intent banking.
Using the ASB Mobile app:
- Open the ASB Mobile app. If you're automatically logged in with Face ID, choose Log Out from the More button at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on 'Login options' in the bottom left corner of the PIN screen.
- Tap on 'Reset password' in the Login options panel and follow the easy steps.
- We'll reset your ASB password and unlock your access immediately.
Using FastNet Classic:
- Select 'FastNet Classic' in the top right corner of the webpage.
- Click 'Log In'.
- Click the 'Forgot your password?' link.
- Enter your Username and Date of Birth and click ‘Continue’.
- Enter the Netcode received on your mobile device (SMS) or on your physical token.
- Enter your new password as per the criteria and click ‘Change password’.
- You have now successfully set the password.
- Log into Fastnet Classic Internet banking with the username and newly changed password and you are all set.
If you are unable to reset your password through the ASB Mobile app or FastNet Classic please call the ASB Contact Centre on 0800 327 863 or + 64 9 306 3185 (if you are overseas).
Find out more and download the ASB Mobile app.
