How do I make an International Money Transfer (IMT)?
To make an International Money Transfer, log in to FastNet Classic internet banking and select Make a payment. You will also need a Netcode.
- Select International Transfers.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to obtain a quote for the transaction and select New International Transfers Quote.
- If you wish to continue, select Next.
- Enter the SWIFT code for your recipient/beneficiary bank (the bank the funds are being sent to), or search for the recipient/beneficiary bank's full details. You will need the following information about the overseas bank account you are transferring funds to: -
- Recipient/beneficiary Name: Recipient’s full account name.
- Recipient/beneficiary Address: Recipients physical address including city and country.
- Recipient/beneficiary Account: Full account number or IBAN (International Bank Account Number). If an IBAN is used, it should be presented as a continuous string of alphanumeric characters with no spaces.
- Recipient/beneficiary Bank: The recipient bank’s name, address and SWIFT Code (also known as a Bank Identifier Code/BIC).
- Complete the transfer.
If the recipient's name is long and exceeds the character limit, continue typing into the first line of the address field, then continue typing the recipient's address after the recipient's name. This will ensure ASB can send all the required details with your payment to the recipient bank.
Please note that limits apply to International Money Transfers made via FastNet Classic. When sending money overseas different countries may need different information from you. Find out more information on country specific details.
