How can I deposit cash?

Anyone manually depositing money into an account will need to use a Smart ATM or an ATM with a Bag Deposit Unit, using an Authorised Depositor card or a Visa Debit that is linked to the account. This means:

• No waiting in queues at our Advice Centre counters.
• Access to any of our 24/7 lobbies.
• Cash deposited into a Smart ATM is available in your account immediately.

An Authorised Depositor card is a physical ASB card that lets someone manually deposit cash into business or entity accounts (it doesn't let them see your account or take money out). It identifies who is depositing the cash, to help keep your money safe and prevent fraud.

Anyone depositing money will need one of these cards, and a unique PIN.

To get set up with an Authorised Depositor card, there are 2 simple forms we need you and your authorised depositors to complete:

1. Key Individual form  - filled out by the people who need to be able to deposit money into your account.
2. Authorised Depositor form  - completed by both you and each depositor.

Once filled in, send the completed forms to your Relationship Manager or if you don't have one, you can book an appointment for your depositor to complete the process at your nearest ASB.

Please note: If you have people who need to pay you and they cannot be set up as an Authorised Depositor, they will need to make these payments as transfers from their own bank. This can be done through online transfers from their bank account or physically at their bank. Alternatively, they can pay you directly in cash so that you can use any of the below methods to deposit the funds.
