Tom McHardy

Rural Manager

Tom is originally from the East Coast of the North Island, where he grew up on a large-scale Sheep & Beef Station. 

Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) from Lincoln University. After graduating from university, he spent the next four years farming on Sheep & Beef properties across the Lower North Island. His career in Rural banking began in 2020 working for ASB as a Rural Manager in the Manawatu-Wanganui region. Then later (2025) relocating to Canterbury. 

Tom is passionate about agribusiness and has a good ground level understanding of farming. Tom enjoys matching financial analysis with personal and business strategies to help clients achieve their goals. 

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with friends and family, being active outdoors, fishing, hunting, running, mountain biking and waterskiing.
