Rural Manager

Jalam (Jay) is originally from Hawke's Bay and after more than 10 years away has returned to his hometown.

After studying Marketing and Management in Otago, he started his banking career in Melbourne. Upon returning to NZ, he continued his banking career initially as a Mobile Manager before moving to Rural. In 2022, Jay started as an ASB Rural Manager, based at the Hawke's Bay Regional Centre in Napier.

Jay enjoys most sports and outdoor activities, especially golf, tennis, fishing, diving and camping.

With a keen interest in the agricultural sector and with his extensive banking experience, Jay generates great relationships with our rural clients and works together with them to help them achieve their financial ambitions.
