During Anthony's 22 years in Financial Services industry, he has seen Māori business grow and witnessed the strength it has added to our economy in Aotearoa. Here at ASB, our Māori Finance Solutions team are uniquely driven to be responsive to Māori business, enabling us to manaaki those it was created to support – you, your whanau, hapu and iwi.
The experience and skills Anthony bring to a relationship are structured finance and bespoke banking solutions for clients, ranging from small not-for-profit entities to larger SME's and also cross border multi-national organizations.
Anthony's passion to this kaupapa is strengthened by his board appointments and whanau, hapu and iwi contributions. He believes that the future of Māori business growth and success will be secured by the actions of those that are the current Kaitiaki.
Executive Manager, Māori Banking Services
Zane has a finance background incorporating a 22-year banking career covering commercial, property and corporate banking sectors locally and internationally. This includes eight years as a Director for a major European Bank based in London and Sydney.
Over the last 4 years Zane has been working with Iwi and Māori commercial entities across Aotearoa assisting with debt funding for investment opportunities and fund management. A number of these have been to assist Iwi Groups acquire rfr and deferred settlement properties within their Treaty Settlement packages.
Zane's passion is to find bespoke funding solutions for Iwi and Māori organisations as often these do not fit the traditional banking box.
Executive Manager, Māori Banking Services
Kirikaiahi Mahutariki is an Executive Manager in the Māori Financial Solutions team at ASB Bank. She has a legal and professional services background having advised various global and multi-national organisations across a range of industries, SMEs, and high net-worth individuals.
For just over 12 years she worked closely with various iwi and hapū groups, and Māori businesses across the motu on a range of commercial, structuring, Māori land and Treaty of Waitangi matters. Her overall drive is to contribute to the development of Māori to be prosperous and successful, as Māori. She is currently doing that through her role at ASB by supporting and enabling Māori business development and growth at all levels and across all sectors.
In addition to her Te Arawa and Mataatua heritage, Kirikaiahi's Tongareva (Cook Islands Māori) and Tahitian affiliations provide her with extra momentum to drive indigenous business success. "Māori have a vital contribution to make in this world, and our success will breed success across Aotearoa and wherever we chose to walk in this ever-changing globe.
