ASB's Blair Wiggins recognised with top legal award

Regulatory work and advising on strategic acquisitions and divestments over the past 12 months has earned ASB's Blair Wiggins an in-house lawyer of the year award from industry group NZ Lawyer.

The awards recognise New Zealand's top In-House counsel, who demonstrate efficient, innovative, and creative leadership in response to the various challenges and demands of their organisations.

Mr Wiggins has been with ASB since 2009, and currently leads the wealth and corporate banking section of its legal team.

General counsel and executive general manager of Business Services for ASB, Stephen Bendall says the award recognises the stellar work Mr Wiggins has achieved in the past year.

"Blair's input and leadership is an integral component of the critical service ASB's Legal Services team provides to the organisation. He is exceptional at what he does and how he does it, in what is a continually challenging and evolving environment. Blair is highly deserving of this in-house leader accolade."
