As part of its support of the All Blacks, ASB is inviting fans to try their luck in a game of coin rugby against the boys in black this Friday.
"This isn't the usual pre-game preparation the All Blacks are used to, but it's a great chance for fans to come down and test their skills, and meet some of the team ahead of Saturday’s game," ASB head of community, sponsorship and events Mark Graham says.
The coin rugby matches will be held at ASB’s Nelson Branch from 10am – 12pm where fans can win prizes including rugby jerseys and tickets to the game, as well as getting to meet and have their photo taken with some of the players.
"ASB is proud to support the All Blacks and it's great to be able to offer this opportunity to Nelson rugby fans. It's going to be a great morning," Graham says.
ASB has supported the All Blacks since 2015 and it sits alongside the bank's support of the Black Ferns and Maori All Blacks teams.
As part of its sponsorship, ASB is also giving eight local students from St Joseph's School the chance to attend the pre-match captain's run on Friday.
The students will get to see some last minute prep from the team, and will receive an All Blacks/ASB goodie bag.
