Economic Weekly: All in
- US communication on the Iran war continues to see-saw
- The most recent development is an ultimatum posed by US President Trump to open the oil-critical Strait of Hormuz before Tuesday 8.00pm ET (~12pm tomorrow in NZT) or the US will “bomb” key Iranian energy and transport infrastructure
- This escalation looks to be an all-in, zero sum move that contrasts last week’s indication that Trump intends to wind down the war diplomatically
