A new commitment to New Zealand sport.

We're proud to share that ASB is now an Official Partner of the New Zealand Olympic Committee and Athletics New Zealand.

Sport has the power to inspire us, unite us and show us what's possible. Yet for too many New Zealanders, barriers stand in the way of participation and performance. That's why we're committed to helping more New Zealanders enjoy sport at all levels – from investing in youth athletic programmes across the country, to backing elite Kiwi athletes on the world stage.

Here for the road to the Commonwealth Games

This July, the New Zealand Team will head to Glasgow to compete against the best athletes from across the Commonwealth. As an Official Partner, we're proud to help them get there as they represent New Zealand with pride. Their ambition, dedication and pursuit of excellence showcase the very best of Aotearoa, and we can't wait to cheer them on as they compete on the world stage.

Here for first steps

Supporting the grassroots level

Every Kiwi kid deserves the chance to experience the confidence, connection and joy that sport can bring. But for many, barriers to participation mean those opportunities aren't always within reach.

Through our partnership with Athletics NZ, we're helping 100,000 Kiwi kids get active through athletics, building confidence along the way and developing a lifelong connection with movement.

Our support extends the reach and quality of the ASB Run Jump Throw and ASB Get Set Go programmes. Covering ages 3 - 11, these programmes teach the foundational skills of athletics with a focus on fun, positivity and inclusivity for tamariki. With ASB's support, these programmes will be available free on Āhei, a digital platform making hundreds of Athletics NZ resources more accessible in clubs and schools, across the country.

Supporting New Zealand's elite athletes

As an Official Partner of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, ASB is proud to back the NZ Team to compete with the best in the world.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee represents both the Commonwealth and Olympic Games movements in New Zealand, and our funding enables top athletes to compete on the world stage.

The Commonwealth Games has always been about more than medals. Beginning 23 July, Glasgow 2026 will feature the return of the historic Commonwealth Mile and many of the events where New Zealand athletes continue to inspire us through their ambition and dedication.

Supporting students across Aotearoa

Our partnership also extends beyond competition. Every year, more than 60,000 students take part in The New Zealand Olympic Education Programme presented by ASB. Bringing Olympic values to life through classroom resources, activities and connections with Olympic Ambassadors, the programme motivates young New Zealanders to be active and helps them to build confidence, embrace positive challenges and strive for their personal best. By backing the New Zealand Team and helping athletes share their stories, we're creating a pathway that stretches from the classroom to the world stage.
