How it works

With ASB Smart Debit your customers don’t have to remember to pay you online or by cheque. You use the direct debit process to initiate their payments automatically on the due date, so you get your money on time.

You load your customer payment schedule in FastNet Business internet banking, either manually or by importing them from your accounting system.

Signing up customers

Many customers prefer the simplicity of paying by Smart Debit. It’s a better experience, and they stay in control.

Fees

Direct debit service fee

(calculated per single electronic direct debit)

ASB direct debit service fees will be deducted from the fee deduction account you have nominated within FastNet Business internet banking. For some accounts if you choose to upload your direct debits individually, you will be charged a transaction fee of $0.25 per item on your statement.

Dishonour fee

(calculated per single electronically dishonoured direct debit)
