Am I able to choose my medical provider or medical facility with ASB health insurance?
Yes - within New Zealand and overseas you can generally choose who provides your treatment and where it takes place. Please be aware that all treatments must be performed at a medical facility approved by AIA, and prior approval from AIA is required for treatment overseas.
Please note: Some ASB MajorCare policies may not cover overseas treatment. Please refer to your policy wording or contact AIA for any questions.
The availability of insurance cover is subject to your application being approved. All applications are subject to individual consideration. Special conditions, exclusions or premium loadings may apply. An excess may apply for health insurance policies.
