How do the new Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) rules applying to property investment affect me?
Last Updated: 23 Nov 2020
Due to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) Loan to Value Ratio (LVR) 'speed limit' restrictions, loans for residential investment properties generally have minimum equity requirements. Further information can be found here.
Exemptions may apply. When a loan falls under an exemption, the loan is not included in the banks high LVR 'speed limits'. If you would like to find out more about these exemptions and the restrictions applying to residential investment properties, talk to one of our Lending Specialists on 0800 100 600 or visit your nearest ASB branch.
