If I hold Australian shares under a Security Reference Number (SRN), how do I place a sell order over the internet?
Last Updated: 15 Feb 2017
If your Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) shares are held under a Security Reference Number (SRN) and you wish to sell, please call us on 0800 272 732 or 0064 9 448 8120 (from overseas).
You'll need to provide your client number and the SRN (this can be found on the most recent registry holding statement). We'll check the shareholding details to ensure they match your CHESS account by ownership and address. If both match we will connect the SRN to your account, which will allow you to place the order online within the next 20 business days. After this time the SRN will be removed from the trading system and you will need to contact us again.
