Do I need health insurance if I’m paying ACC levies?
Last Updated: 01 Sep 2016
Yes - because ACC may only provide limited accident-related cover. Health insurance can help you and your family get seen sooner by your choice of medical provider. This is particularly important with lifestyle altering illnesses - like sinus complications, cardiac conditions or hernia - where under the public health system you could be left waiting for treatment.
