From farm workers to farm owners, women play a key role in New Zealand’s dairy industry.
Many also face the challenges of raising families and contributing to their local communities, so the Dairy Women’s Network (DWN) was founded in the late 1990s with the aim of providing a support network for women involved in the dairy industry.
ASB is partnered with the DWN to provide training that is tailored towards financial literacy in dairy, ensuring that women have the confidence and ability in an area which may be new to them.
The DWN has over 12,000 members in over 30 regional groups, providing ongoing support with regular opportunities to meet up to learn new skills, share ideas and discuss issues facing women in dairy.
Call your local Rural team to find out how ASB are supporting women in dairy through our partnership with the Dairy Women’s Network.
