ASB Home Central

ASB has created a digital tool to enable customers to view and manage their home loan(s) in one interactive dashboard.

ASB Home Central brings all information on their loan(s) to one place within ASB FastNet Classic internet banking. An additional new feature includes listing the latest QV valuation data for the property (free of charge) and allows customers to experiment with repayment options, seeing the impact on the life of their home loan.

ASB executive general manager retail banking Russell Jones says ASB Home Central is market-leading and puts home loan control firmly back in customers’ hands.

“For most New Zealanders, their home is their largest investment but it’s one they rarely interact with once they take out the loan,” Mr Jones says.

“ASB Home Central gives customers more visibility and influence over their loan, allowing them to adjust repayment options to see the impact on the lifetime of the loan without committing to changes. It provides customers with access to relevant, accurate information about their home loan position, whether for a family home, or an investor’s complete portfolio.

“We’re excited to empower customers to make decisions about their investments by seeing the value of their properties, their equity and their potential debt-free date in one place for the first time.”

ASB Home Central follows the launch of ASB’s digital fixed rate rollover (FRR) tool earlier this year. ASB’s digital FRR allows customers to re-fix a home loan, at personalised rates, at their convenience via ASB FastNet Classic or the ASB Mobile banking app rather than going into a branch.

“Self-service is great service and ASB Home Central is the latest addition to ASB’s suite of digital tools empowering customers to self-manage their banking whenever and wherever they like,” Mr Jones says.

ASB Home Central is currently available to ASB home loan customers through ASB FastNet Classic.

About ASB Home Central:

  • Provides customers a clear picture of their total loan position, including balances and interest rates and an estimated debt-free date.
  • Gives an overview of property details including an estimate of current value, year of build, land and floor areas (supplied by Core Logic NZ Ltd).
  • Allows customers to manage repayments and see how these changes would impact the life of the loan – i.e. changing repayments from monthly to fortnightly.
  • Enables customers to re-fix a home loan online, and choose suitable terms and interest rates from a range of options.
