Sport Northland

ASB is the major sponsor of Sport Northland the Regional Sports Trust whose mandate is to get more Northlanders participating in physical activity.

The Trust is the delivery agent in Northland of SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand) programmes. In addition, Sport Northland operates many other operational areas designed to offer the Northland population a variety of opportunities to become more active. The Trust serves a population of 146,000, three District Councils (Kaipara, Whangarei and Far North), the Northland Regional Council, 152 primary and secondary schools, 35 Regional Sports Organisations and over 600 sports clubs.

ASB has naming rights to the many of the sporting activities Sport Northland run in the region including the prestigious youth sports awards, the ASB Northland Secondary Schools Sports Awards, ASB Push Play Month, ASB Paihia Run Walk and Whangarei's ASB Leisure Centre. www.sportnorthland.co.nz

Hawkes Bay Rugby

ASB is a major supporter of Hawke's Bay Rugby. This is clearly illustrated on matchdays at McLean Park, where the Centennial Stand is transformed into the ASB Family Zone, complete with kids' corporate box. www.hbmagpies.co.nz
