Welcome to the State Sector Retirement Savings Scheme.
The State Sector Retirement Savings Scheme (SSRSS) participates in the ASB Superannuation Master Trust. SSRSS closed to new members on 1 October 2008. SSRSS will continue to operate for existing members.
You can increase your contribution in 0.5% increments. You may change your contributions up to twice a year - between 1 April and 31 March.
Simply download and print the Contribution Change Form and return it to your employer's payroll department, or if you are employed at a state or state integrated school or kindergarten please send your form to: Education Service Payroll, Ministry of Education, PO Box 1666, Wellington.

Aims for moderate to high returns. The number of years with negative returns are generally expected to be higher than the Moderate Fund but lower than the Growth Fund.

Aims for moderate returns. The number of years with negative returns are generally expected to be higher than the NZ Cash Fund but lower than the Balanced Fund.

Provides exposure to deposits and fixed interests with NZ banks. The number of years with negative returns are generally expected to be less than the other funds.

Interests in the ASB Superannuation Master Trust (Scheme) are issued by Smartshares Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NZX Limited. Smartshares Limited has delegated to ASB Group Investments Limited (ASBGI), the former manager of the Scheme, certain investment management and administration functions in respect of the Scheme. Over time, Smartshares Limited will assume these functions from ASBGI through a transition process which may take several years.
