Rob McConachy

Rural Manager

Rob was born and bred on a 320ha Wairarapa sheep and beef property. Graduating in 1998 from Massey University with a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Rural Valuation & Farm Management, he then spent five and half years with Ravensdown Fertiliser based in Taranaki, Manawatu and Wairarapa.

After returning from two years in the UK, Rob settled back to Canterbury in 2006, where he was a Territory Manager for Merial Ancare for two years, before joining the ASB Rural team in May 2008.

Rob and wife Lara spend their spare time with their three boys, Remy, Ethan and Kian, pursuing all manner of sporting endeavours.  Rob enjoys giving back to the local rural community through his involvement as rugby coach, rugby club administrator and cricket team manager. Rob enjoys meeting progressive farmers and adding value to their farming operations and helping them achieve their financial ambitions.
