Daniel van der Salm is a Rural Manager in Mid Canterbury:

Daniel van der Salm

Rural Manager

Dan joined ASB in May 2013 after working for PGGW Finance for 7 years based out of Ashburton and Oamaru. Since joining ASB, he's enjoyed working for an organisation that's willing to support both clients and staff.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in South Canterbury, it's fair to say that rural banking is his passion. From experience in previous roles, Dan has been exposed to the grain and small seed side of business as well as farming.

In his role as Rural Manager, Dan has a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from both small and large scale dairy, through to arable and dairy support. Having this diversity gives him the knowledge to work with all aspects of agriculture.

With his wife Lucy, and two wee kids, life is certainly rewarding and exciting. They are well settled in Canterbury and look forward to their future in the area.
