How can I get the ASB Mobile Banking app on my phone, iPad or tablet?

To download and use the ASB Mobile Banking app you'll need:

  • To be registered for FastNet Classic internet banking.
  • An active mobile data plan or wireless internet connection.
  • And from April 2024, an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (version iOS 14 or later), Android phone or tablet (version 9 or later).

To install the app:

  1. Visit the Google Play store or the Apple App Store to download the app.
  2. Once downloaded, enter your FastNet Classic internet banking login details – your username and password – on the registration screen.
  3. If you're registered for Netcode, you must verify your device with a Netcode for the ASB Mobile Banking app. We’ll send you a Netcode via text or on your token that will verify the ASB Mobile Banking app on your device. Enter this Netcode number where indicated. If you're not registered for Netcode, this step will not be displayed. If you don’t Netcode-verify your device for the ASB Mobile Banking app, you can only make payments totalling $1,000 per day in the app.
  4. Confirm your mobile number in the app. This is so that you’ll be able to receive payments straight into your bank account when someone sends you money via the ‘Pay to mobile’ feature.
  5. Confirm which one of your accounts will be automatically selected to send or receive payments. If you do not have a transaction account, this step will not be displayed.
  6. Set and confirm your PIN number or password.
  7. You should receive a message telling you your registration was successful.

    What options do I have if my device does not meet the operating system (OS) version requirements?
  1. Update the OS version on your device by following the steps laid out by your manufacturer (iOS & Android). Some older devices may not be able to apply the latest update, in this scenario, it’s best to visit the manufacturer’s website for more information.
  2. You will still be able to access a simplified version of Fastnet Classic from your device’s browser.
  3. From April 2024, upgrade to a newer device (Running either iOS 14 or Android 9 and above).
