If your card is lost or stolen in New Zealand, call our contact centre on
0800 803 804 or notify your nearest ASB branch.
If you are overseas, immediately call +64 9 306 3000 collect, or notify the nearest office of Visa or MasterCard, depending on your type of card.
Next steps
Once we have identified you over the phone, we will immediately cancel your card and issue a replacement as soon as possible.*If you are within New Zealand this will reach you in two to five working days.
If you are overseas, depending on where you are, a replacement card will reach you in about ten working days.
Your new card will have a different card number so you will also need to contact vendors and change any automatic payments you have set up to be paid by your credit card, such as subscriptions, memberships, and bill payments.
*A replacement fee will apply.
