Privacy Statement
Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993 the following is brought to your attention:
This application form collects personal information about you (Information) so that ASB Bank Limited (ASB) can offer you its products and services, process your application, carry out credit checks, verify your identity and monitor your ongoing credit-worthiness.
The intended recipients of the Information are ASB (which is part of the ASB Group), other members of the ASB Group of companies, other providers of credit, credit reference agencies, research and/or marketing firms engaged by ASB.
The Information will be collected and held by ASB, PO Box 35, Auckland 1015.
Failure to provide or provision of incorrect Information may result in any application for credit being declined, or your being unable to open an account with ASB.
You have rights of access to, and correction of, personal information held by ASB.
We will endeavour to ensure that Information held by us is accurate. Accordingly, please advise us of any changes in your personal contact details such as residential or email address, or telephone or facsimile numbers as soon as possible.
Authorisations
By completing the application form, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You authorise ASB to obtain, use and disclose any and all Information held by ASB to any credit reference agencies, providers of credit, any previous employers, debt collection agencies and any other party that is authorised by you from time to time for the purposes set out above.
You authorise the release to ASB of any Information held by any credit reference agencies, providers of credit, any previous employers, debt collection agencies and any other party that is authorised by you from time to time for the purposes set out above.
You also authorise ASB to:
i) use its credit reference agency in the future for purposes related to the provision of credit to you; and
ii) give its credit reference agency information about any default in your payment obligations.
You authorise ASB's credit reference agency to:
i) hold your personal information on its systems and use your personal information to provide its credit reporting services;
ii) provide your personal information to its customers when they use its credit reporting services; and
iii) give information about your default to its other customers.
You agree that your Information held by ASB may be used by other companies within the ASB Group to advise you about other products and services.
You understand that the information provided by you in the application form will enable ASB to assess your application for an ASB Personal Loan. As such, you confirm that all information provided to ASB in connection with the application is complete, true and accurate, no information has been omitted or withheld which would cause any information given to be misleading or incomplete in any material respect and acknowledge that failure to provide or supply of inaccurate information may result in the offer being withdrawn.
