ASB Term Fund

• Account balances and returns (before tax and any fees) are guaranteed by ASB Bank Limited.  The guarantee is unsecured.
• Invests 100% in deposits with ASB which are guaranteed by the Crown under the New Zealand deposit guarantee scheme*.
• A Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE) fund, with certain tax advantages over conventional bank accounts and deposits if you pay 33% or 38% tax.
• Pays tax for you at 12.5%, 21% or 30% (your PIR). A 0% PIR is available to some non-individual investors, more information.
• Easy to open an account at an ASB branch or for existing customers by phone or by logging into FastNet Classic**.
• Minimum investment of $5,000.
• Your funds are invested for a fixed term.

** Not currently available for joint account customers.

• 1 unit = $1 – the price never changes.
• Your dollars buy units which are held in your account.
• Returns are calculated daily and can be paid monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly, annually or at maturity, depending on term chosen and amount invested.
• Tax is paid at the time returns are paid, and will usually be final tax.
• You will receive a tax certificate at the end of the tax year.
