More about

Absolute Health can let you act quickly when you need hospital treatment or an operation. It’s one of the most complete major medical policies in New Zealand.

Good reasons to get Absolute Health

  • 100% reimbursement: Absolute Health provides full reimbursement for covered reasonable charges up to the limits shown on the policy document. Reasonable charges are determined based on Sovereign's claim statistics.
  • Optional specialist and diagnostic cover: You can add "anytime" cover for specialists and diagnostic tests up to a limit of $3,000 per life assured, per policy year. This cover applies even when no hospitalisation is involved.
  • Choose your excess: An excess is the amount you must pay directly to health care providers before your policy begins to reimburse you. You can reduce the cost of insurance by choosing a higher excess.
  • Pre-approval makes claiming easy: Claims can be approved before treatment, so the bills can be sent directly to us.
  • May top up ACC payments: ACC Payments only go so far. If there is a shortfall in the cost of hospital treatment covered by the policy, Sovereign may make up the difference to the amount provided under your policy.
  • Underwritten by Sovereign: You have the security of knowing that your policy is underwritten by Sovereign, New Zealand's leading life insurance provider.
