Mobile top-up
If you have a Telecom prepaid, Vodafone on account, or Vodafone prepay mobile phone, you can top it up straight from your personal ASB bank account - by TXT message.
There's no additional charge for this service and all mTopup and HotLink TXT messages are free. Our normal EFTPOS transaction fees apply.
About Telecom mTopup
mTopups are paid in $20.00 increments to a maximum of $40.00 per day.

About Vodafone HotLink
HotLink lets you pay your Vodafone account or top-up your Prepay balance to a maximum of $50.00 per day.
To find out if your SIM card and mobile are compatible for the HotLink service TXT 'ASB' to 262. It's a free TXT.

How to register
- Login to FastNet Classic.
- Select the 'Mobile banking' menu.
- Select 'Mobile Top-up' and follow the steps on screen.
You will register your mobile number. Only top-up requests from this number can be made from your accounts.
To later update your registration details, such as your phone number, nominated ASB bank account or password, select 'Update Top-up Details' from the 'Mobile banking' menu in FastNet Classic.
Internet banking on your PDA
With your PDA or smartphone, including your iPhone, you can login to FastNet Classic and:
- View balances.
- Transfer money between your ASB accounts.
- View a seven day mini statement.
- Make one-off payments and bill payments.
It's still FastNet Classic, just a 'lite' version that's specifically designed for your PDA, iPhone and smartphone.
How to access
- If you already have FastNet Classic, you already have access.
- From your PDA or smartphone, just go to https://mobile.asbbank.co.nz/ and login.*
- It's free to access FastNet Classic on your PDA or smartphone, but your usual data costs will apply. Standard FastNet Classic transaction and service charges will also apply.

TXT banking
With a simple TXT message you can:
- Get real-time current balances for any of your ASB accounts, including credit cards, True Reward dollars and your Pago wallet.
- Transfer money between your ASB accounts, credit cards and your Pago wallet.
It's free to register, then you simply pay $0.20 each time you use the service.*
How to register
- Login to FastNet Classic
- Select the 'Mobile Banking' menu
- Select 'TXT banking' and follow the steps on screen
When you register, you choose up to three of your accounts that you want to access through TXT banking. Each of these accounts is then given a FastCode, which you use as the account name when TXT banking. You must be Netcode registered to complete registration on FastNet Classic.
You can change your selection at any time through FastNet Classic.
To get a quick balance
- For all three accounts at once, TXT: Bal to 4ASB (4272)
- For one account, using the account's FastCode, for example if this was 100, you'd simply TXT Bal 100 to 4ASB (4272)
To transfer money between two of the accounts
- For example, to transfer $50.00 from account 100 to account/walletname 101, you'd TXT: Trf(space)$50(space)f100(space)t101 to 4ASB (4272)
The f represents the account the transfer is coming from, and the t being the account the transfer is going to.
Note: You cannot transfer True Reward dollars to another account or credit card nor make transfers to your True Reward dollar balance.
*This fee is in addition to any other ASB base or transaction fees with no exemptions, except FastSaver. Fees subject to change. Your normal mobile phone network provider TXT message fee also applies and will be charged to your mobile phone account or direct debited from your prepay account balance. Free TXT deals offered by your mobile phone network provider do not apply to ASB's TXT Banking service.
Statement Stopper
Statement Stopper is ideal for when you're going away on holiday or if you're already a regular user of FastNet Classic. Use Statement Stopper to stop receiving printed statements through the mail. You can see your account activity online by logging into FastNet Classic while you're away or use TXT & Email Alerts to keep across what's happening on your accounts. Log into FastNet Classic and stop your statements through the 'Accounts' menu.
