More about
Designed for everyday investors, EasyFunds are simple to understand and monitor.
They use an index tracking, or passive, approach. This means each fund aims to achieve a return that matches the performance of the markets it invests in.
They have also been designed to be tax efficient for investors to handle. EasyFunds is a PIE investment, meaning any income earned in EasyFunds will be taxed at either 0%, 19.5% or 30%.
EasyFunds invest in:
- Diversified income assets - cash, New Zealand and world fixed interest products.
- Diversified growth assets - global property, Australasian and world shares.

Interest rates and fees
As a valued customer, we don't believe we need to charge you a fee for advice, research or for the preparation of your investment plan. However, investments have joining fees, discounted brokerage and an ongoing annual fee.
There are no fees for switching between funds or for existing EasyFunds.
Management fee
This fee is paid as a percentage of the gross asset value of the fund. It's an annual management fee, which is paid to the manager for investment management and other functions of maintaining this fund. The management fee is set by the manager from time to time, but can be no greater than 3% annually (plus any GST) of the gross asset value of the fund, unless the establishment deed is first amended to allow a greater percentage.
| EasyFund Defensive | 0.90 % |
| EasyFund Conservative | 1.00 % |
| EasyFund Moderate | 1.05 % |
| EasyFund Balanced | 1.10 % |
| EasyFund Growth | 1.15 % |
Trustee fee
This fee is based on the aggregate gross asset value of the funds. It's an annual fee paid to the trustee for its trustee and custodial services. The trustee is also able to charge special fees to reflect additional services provided. The trustee fee is scaled based on the overall money held in EasyFunds. 0.06% is the maximum percentage charged.
Service fee
This fee is charged as a percentage of the moneys invested in the fund. The service fee is a one-off charge deducted from all moneys invested (including regular contributions), and is paid to the manager. The service fee is set from time to time by the manager and can be no greater than 3% annually of the application moneys received (plus any GST), unless the establishment deed is first amended to allow a greater percentage.
